My childhood was dotted with flower gardens displayed against houses, fences, bird baths, or took up the extra garden row. There was not a lot of planning to it, but an ordered chaos sort of beauty, a design aesthetic I still appreciate.

Tommy Mitchell’s experience as an artist, restorer, and creator spans over twenty years. Growing up in NC, Tommy first studied the creative pastimes of his family, gardening, painting, and creating from childhood. He is a self-taught artist and works closely with his sister, Midge Mitchell.

Tommy is best known for his eclectic and youthful approach to his botanicals, art, and his restoration projects. He loves all beautiful things, be it either classical or modern representations, as well as elements that add a touch of whimsy, ultimately reflecting the client’s personality. He continues to seek inspiration for his art projects during frequent trips to New York and Palm Beach and everywhere in between.

Tommy’s clients are as diverse as his artwork and range from young families to the established collector, from small business owners to politicos. Tommy has worked on projects up and down the east coast, with focus in New York, South Florida, and in North Carolina where he currently lives with his family.
